The International Institute of St. Louis is seeking a full-time staff member to provide workforce services for immigrant and refugee job seekers in the St. Louis area.
- Participate in full cycle recruitment activities including job description development, sourcing, screening, interviewing, on-boarding and post-hire support
- Maintain regular contact with assigned employers over the phone, through email and face-to-face interactions
- Coordinate with Workforce Solutions Manager on outreach activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies
- Collaborate with Workforce Solutions staff and participate in departmental meetings and projects, and ensuring high level of client satisfaction
- Reinforce employment prepardness curriculum and coach clients during their employment process
- Closely collaborate with the other departments' staff to assist in creating synergy amongst the program’s training, pre-screening, career development, and outreach strategies
- Complete associated grant reporting and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of all client records and information
- Other assigned duties include cold-calling, report writing, maintaining and updating employer records, faxing, scanning, etc, among others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
- Must have a car and valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines; flexibility
- Ability to work an irregular schedule if necessary
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Other Information: Linguistic ability in Swahili, French, Arabic, Somali, Dari/Pashto, or Tigrinya preferred; Prior sales or customer service experience a plus; Experience working in a multi-cultural environment preferred; Knowledge of employment law is preferred
