The DRBS will primarily provide support in the areas of data collection, archiving, analysis, and reporting to support operational needs of the department. They will use various techniques and problem-solving methodologies to increase efficiencies and improve departmental processes. A portion of this role will involve direct contact with clients, developing leads and providing business development assistance to immigrant entrepreneurs.

  • Analyzing, interpreting, importing / exporting, and manipulating client data across various records management systems across the agency.
  • Establishing and maintaining system design documentation, which will include dataflow, workflow, and business processes.
  • Supporting departmental management in all data and reporting needs.
  • Developing, administering, and maintaining department performance tracking data
  • Reconciliation of monthly departmental reporting
  • Creating Ad-Hoc reports on an as needed basis.
  • Maintaining statistics on department performance

    Secondary responsibilities include:
  • Developing new loan prospects by engaging with the target communities (refugees and immigrants), making sales/outreach calls to visit prospective clients
  • Providing targeted business and asset development assistance to prepare applicants for application or review. Assistance includes, but is not limited to, business plans development, financial forecasting, and loan packaging
  • Follow up with clients in arrears

    Skills/Qualifications: Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives. Strong computer skills including a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with database management. Solid time management and customer service skills. Ability to organize & prioritize workload. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences. Professional and effective interpersonal skills. Previous experience in social entrepreneurship, micro/small business lending or equivalent strongly preferred.
